Acuity International . This position is contingent upon contract award and will be located onsite in either the southeast, southwest, or central United States. Travel will likely be required. Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunologic, microscopic, and bacteriological tests. Examine and analyze body fluids and cells; match blood for transfusions. Ensure compliance with American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) requirements for blood products. Analyze chemical content of fluids and test for drug levels. Prepare specimens, count cells, and identify abnormal cells. Analyze test results and communicate findings to physicians. Culture body fluids and tissue samples to identify microorganisms. Determine concentrations of compounds like blood glucose and cholesterol. Evaluate and develop testing procedures to ensure accuracy. Use safety precautions to protect against biohazards. Manage supplies, maintain a safe environment, and oversee lab operations. Supervise and guide lab staff as Lead. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology or related training. Certification by AMT, ASCP, or NCA. Current BLS certification. Minimum five years experience as a Medical Technologist. At least one year in a Lead role. Recent clinical experience in patient care (last 6 months). Detail-oriented, organized, with excellent communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and computer skills. Flexible and adaptable to shift changes. Strong problem-solving abilities. Fluent in English. US citizen or permanent resident for at least 3 of the last 5 years. Preferred Qualifications:
Department of Homeland Security clearance. Bilingual in Spanish and English. Physical and Work Conditions:
