Description
In this role, you will:
- Labor Relations Strategy
- Build a comprehensive AMR Labor Relations strategy, aligned with Apple’s core values and priorities.
- Guide the translation of the LR strategy to LOBs and across US, ensuring it is connected to business strategies and US-specific rules and regulations.
- Partner with Global LR teams to integrate the strategy across all LOBs and globally.
- Develop a strategic understanding of the internal and external labor landscape, providing guidance on implications across LOBs and the US.
- Develop engagement strategies, including training solutions to proactively address issues.
- Manage and lead LRBPs for targeted engagement, synthesizing feedback and identifying themes.
- Foster positive employee relations in partnership with ER and PBPs.
- Develop and maintain a management system with metrics and risk assessment frameworks to identify and resolve engagement risks.
- Connect US management systems with global approaches.
- Understand Apple’s levers to mitigate labor risks and collaborate with People Team partners to deploy solutions.
- Provide guidance on complex labor relations matters to all levels, including senior executives.
- Lead development of pre-campaign and campaign strategies.
- Advise on strikes and protests in partnership with HR Legal.
- Create negotiation strategies and serve as bargaining chairperson.
- Support contract development and handle administration and grievances.
- Influence and build confidence with stakeholders to gain support and alignment.
- Foster relationships with PBP, ER, HR Legal, and business leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in AMR Labor Relations
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
- Experience in proactive labor relations, engagement strategy, and risk assessment.
- Experience in collective bargaining, grievances, contract administration, and labor-management relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- Leadership experience within a technology or retail company of similar scale.
- JD education preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexible, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make decisions.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Low ego, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
