The Director, Government Affairs & Policy - US will play a key role in developing and executing public policy initiatives supporting Fresenius Kabi's objectives in the United States. This individual will monitor policy developments at federal and state levels and coordinate on priority issues. They will help formulate strategies and implement plans to engage Congress, the White House, and federal agencies in advancing policy priorities.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary Range: $175,000-$200,000
- Eligible for an annual bonus of 16% of base salary
- Participation in medium-term incentive plan

Responsibilities
- Advise Executive Leadership: Serve as a trusted advisor on U.S. policy matters, maintaining relationships with federal agencies like OMB, HHS, CMS, and FDA.
- Lead Federal Lobbying Efforts: Develop and execute lobbying strategies, building relationships with Members of Congress, staff, and federal officials.
- Engage with Trade Associations: Build relationships and participate in work groups to advocate for policy objectives.
- Monitor Policy Developments: Track legislative and regulatory changes impacting the company.
- Represent the Company: Engage in external forums and conferences to promote the company's interests.
- Develop Advocacy Strategy: Collaborate on strategies aligned with business goals.
- Provide Strategic Counsel: Guide leadership on legislative and regulatory issues.
- Assess Policy Impact: Lead cross-functional assessments of policy impacts, providing insights and recommendations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years in government affairs or health policy, with 5+ years in increasing responsibility, preferably in healthcare/pharmaceuticals.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven network and success in influencing legislation and regulation.
- Ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
- Experience with policy development in healthcare/pharmaceutical space.
