Lathe Operator: On behalf of our manufacturing client, Procom is searching for a Lathe Operator for a permanent role. This position is an onsite position at our client's Hudson, Wisconsin office.Lathe Operator - Job Description: The Lathe Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating vertical and horizontal multi-axis CNC lathes. The role involves reading process sheets and blueprints to determine machining requirements, and ensuring that all operations meet specified standards. The operator will also focus on preventive maintenance and maintaining a clean work environment.Lathe Operator - Responsibilities: •Operate and/or set up vertical and horizontal multi-axis CNC lathes. •Read process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine machining requirements. •Mount workpieces using appropriate methods and tools. •Install preset tooling in the sequence specified on process sheets. •Start machining operations and observe numerical displays to verify adjustments. •Make necessary adjustments to machine performance. •Inspect first-run and spot-check pieces for conformance to specifications. •Organize materials for the next run to reduce changeover time. •Perform preventive maintenance and maintain cleanliness of the work area. •Complete the "Daily Operator Checklist" at the beginning of each shift. •Additional duties as assigned.Lathe Operator - Mandatory Skills: •Stable work history with mechanical aptitude. •Good attendance and punctuality. •Ability to read and interpret blueprints and process sheets. •Experience with CNC lathe operations. •Intermediate reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. •Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills. •Effective communication skills.Lathe Operator - Nice-to-Have Skills: •Experience with gear cutting and hobbing. •Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures. •Familiarity with precision gauges and instruments. •Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. •Eagerness to learn and grow within the company.Lathe Operator - Assignment Length: This is a permanent position.Lathe Operator - Start Date: ASAP.Lathe Operator - Assignment Location: Hudson, Wisconsin, onsite.
