Position Summary
This recruitment will be used to fill multiple part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) SafeRide Driver positions for the for the SafeRide Program at Oregon State University (OSU).

Additional Required Qualifications
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years.
This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions (as per Voluntary and Compulsory Driver Standards OSU Standard 125-155-0200) as per OSU Standard 576-056-0000 et seq.

Position Duties
- Drive SafeRide vehicles in a manner consistent with the core values of the SafeRide program
- Always following state and local road laws while driving
- Utilize the SafeRide app and work with fellow SafeRide staff to coordinate ride requests
- Use hand-held radio to communicate with dispatchers regarding student ride details
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicles
- Communicate to riders and staff in a respectful and appropriate manner
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to staff
- Work with the Leadership Team to create a staff culture where all feel welcome
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all SafeRide policies
- Identify and report employee or rider behavioral issues and safety concerns as they occur
- Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality when working with student information
- Complete all required training in a timely manner
- Read and respond to all communications from the Leadership Team in a timely manner
Minimum Qualifications

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
Additional Required Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a current, valid U.S. Driver's License
- Must have a working knowledge of state and local road laws and be able to follow them effectively
- Always communicate in a respectful and appropriate manner consistent with the core values of the SafeRide program with riders and co-workers
- Respond appropriately to incidents that occur and follow all SafeRide policies and protocols
- Be willing to participate in creating a socially just and inclusive work environment
- Have a commitment to supporting student safety and success
