Pay Information $2,215 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in emergency care, travel experience preferred License: Active RN License required Certifications: BLS ACLS CPI NIHSS PALS TNCC Must-Have: Epic experience, preferred charge experience Description: ED RN Night Shift is needed. The position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week. The average daily census is 140 patients, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Common patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest. Candidates must have 4-5 years of experience in the ER. Weekends are required every other weekend. Candidates must float within the unit and specialty as needed. On-call duties are not required. Must be comfortable with a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Emergency Procedures and skills required in the role include abdominal pain, acute psychosis, arterial line management, blood product administration, burns, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, and more. Additional skills include interpretation of ABGs, dysrhythmias, intubation, IV management, and triage. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
