Candidates without the required skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This is a contract position for an RN in cardiovascular surgery. The shift will be from 06:30 to 17:00. Call is required for this role. The unit has 22 operating rooms and is not a trauma hospital. There are 80 staff members on the unit. The staff typically consists of a charge nurse, RNs, CNAs, and sitters to run the operating rooms. There is one team in-house at all times. The patient ratio is 1:1. Typical equipment includes robotics, cardiac, vascular, neuro, spine, oncology, orthopedics, plastics, urology, and GYN. The EMR system used is Meditech. Permanent positions may be available on the unit for surgical technicians and night shift staff. Typical procedures performed include appendectomies, cholecystectomies, spine fusions, total joints, craniotomies, mastectomies, and DIEP flaps.
