Pay Information $2,378 per week About The Position ID: 55693236 Shift: 12H Days Days 3x12 Description: Unit Notes:- Unit: Womens Services Meridian Hospital Flr 3- of L&D Beds: 10- of OR Suites on the unit for C-Sections: 2 ORs- L&D RNs would circulate - of Triage beds: 4- of Postpartum beds: 10- of Births per month: About 120 per month on average.- Do you follow AWHONN guidelines for ratios: AWHONN standards (primarily 1:1 in L&D and 1:6 couple care in PP).- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Stable (taken at least once), AWHONN Intermediate Or Advanced Fetal Monitoring.- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Laboring patients 32wks and greater, Elective Induction of labor, Medical Induction of Labor, Stable Antepartum Patients, Postpartum Patients, Well Newborns.- Experience or 'Must have' skills: L&D, PP, and circulating experience required; triage experience strongly preferred.- Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Primarily Pitocin per protocol, mag, rarely insulin.- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift: Charge RN, Resource RN, and House Supervisor on each shift. Charge RN and Resource RN do not have an assignment.- Are there nurse aids/surgical techs on this unit: CNA for floor (L&D/PP/NICU) 4-5 days and nights/week. Unit clerk 24/7.- OB/Neonatologist in house 24/7: OB hospitalist 24/7, midwives always on call. Neonatal NP 24/7 and Neonatologist on call available within 15 min.- Anesthesia in house 24/7: CRNA 24/7.- RT Equipment: n/a- Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit: No.- EFM System: GE Connect- Shifts & Scheduling: 12-hour shifts, 7a-7p and 7p-7a. Per hospital policy staff cannot work more than five shifts in a row. We do our best to accommodate traveler schedule requests outside of approved time off. - Weekend Requirements: based on unit needs- Holiday Requirements: based on unit needs- Is there a call or standby requirement: No- Floating Requirements: Travelers required to float to like units within valley (Nampa L&D and Boise L&D). all sites are within approx 20 mins of eachother (mostly interstate driving) - notice is given prior to shift and can be expected but true floating to sepearate location is rare - Scrub Color/Dress code: Blue scrubs provided on unit.- How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation: Customized based on each traveler, typically 4-6 shifts.
