Float Requirement: Required to float to like units within valley (Nampa L&D and Boise L&D)

Scrub Color: Blue scrubs provided
Radius Rule: 50 miles – permanent address required to confirm eligibility
Certifications Required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- STABLE (at least once)
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in L&D, Postpartum, and Circulating
- Triage experience strongly preferred
EMR: Epic (EpicCare Inpatient)
EFM System: GE Connect
Unit Details:
- L&D Beds: 10
- OR Suites (C-Section): 2 (RNs circulate)
- Triage Beds: 4
- Postpartum Beds: 10
- Births per Month: ~120
- Nurse/Patient Ratio: AWHONN standards (1:1 in L&D, 1:6 couple care in PP)
- Common Diagnoses: Laboring patients ≥32 weeks, elective/medical inductions, stable antepartum, postpartum, well newborns
- Titration Required: Yes
- Common Drips: Pitocin (per protocol), Magnesium Sulfate, occasional insulin
- Charge RN/Support: Charge RN, Resource RN, and House Supervisor on every shift; Charge and Resource RNs have no patient assignments
- Support Staff: CNA coverage 4–5 days/nights per week; Unit clerk 24/7
- OB/Neonatology: OB hospitalist 24/7, midwives on call, Neonatal NP 24/7, Neonatologist on-call (15 min response)
- Anesthesia: CRNA in-house 24/7
- Monitor Techs: None
Scheduling Notes:
- 12-hour shifts (7a–7p and 7p–7a)
- Max 5 shifts in a row per hospital policy
- Traveler schedule requests accommodated when possible
