There are 9 Labor/Delivery rooms, 8 Post-Partum/Gynecology rooms, and 2 OR suites. The facility includes a wellborn nursery with 23 beds. The total number of staff is over 50. During the day shift, the team includes a Director, Manager, couplet nurses, birth response nurses, and Labor and Delivery nurses. The night shift consists of a clinical coordinator or charge nurse, birth response nurses, couplet nurses, Labor and Delivery nurses, and Scrub Techs. Patient ratios on the couplet unit are 3 couplets per 1 nurse. For Labor and Delivery, the ratio is 1:1 for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural cases. The unit is equipped with Corometrics monitoring systems. The EMR systems in place are Centricity Perinatal and Meditech. Candidates must have OB experience and current certifications. Preferred qualifications include experience as a cesarean section circulator, first assist, or scrub. Typical procedures performed include labor and delivery, cesarean sections, postpartum care, and newborn care. Triage and inductions are also part of the responsibilities. We are looking for energetic and self-directed individuals to join our team. Staffing is limited to within the unit only, with no floating to other areas. Scrubs are provided as part of the dress code. Weekend shifts are required, with 4 weekend shifts scheduled in a 4-week period. Night shifts are typically Friday and Saturday, while day shifts are Saturday and Sunday. Travel staff is not required to be on call but may have opportunities for extra shifts.
