Join a dynamic team in Berne, where skilled MIG welders are responsible for manufacturing barges used in marine construction. These barges play a critical role in supporting construction equipment like cranes and excavators on water. Begin your journey in the parts department, welding various components that contribute to the barge assembly. Once proficient, advance to the main manufacturing area, which involves climbing and working at heights of 10-12 feet. Responsibilities
Perform MIG welding on various parts for barge assembly. Ensure quality and precision in horizontal and vertical welds. Handle and weld heavy steel components. Engage in physical tasks such as climbing ladders and lifting up to 35 pounds. Maintain personal welding equipment, including a welding hood. Essential Skills
1+ years of experience in MIG welding, specifically horizontal and vertical welds. Proficiency in welding heavy steel. Ability to handle physical demands, including climbing and lifting. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Understanding of blueprints and welding symbols. Possession of any welding certifications. Why Work Here?
