CommonSpirit Health, one of the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic healthcare organizations, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Echo Technologist to join our team. As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound tests, including M-mode, 2-dimensional, color flow doppler, stress/wall motion digital analysis, and transesophageal echocardiography. You will play a vital role in providing accurate and timely information to physicians, contributing to effective patient care and treatment plans. Responsibilities include: Perform cardiovascular ultrasound procedures. Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures. Document sampling for permanent records. Report significant findings to physicians. Administer parenteral contrast agents. Maintain equipment and supplies. Maintain accurate logs of echo studies. Participate in outreach activities. Serve as a preceptor for in-training cardiovascular ultrasound technicians. Contribute to a congenial work environment. Qualifications include: Minimum of two years of college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics. Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography upon hire. Meets minimal qualifications for eligibility for registration as an Echocardiographic Technician. Working knowledge of physics as applied to ultrasound, cardiovascular and thoracic anatomy, and equipment/instrumentation for recording and display of echocardiographic studies. Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) certification within 30 days of hire. Licensure/certification (required within 12 months of hire): Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI (RCS) Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) Preferred qualifications: Minimum of three years of clinical experience in cardiovascular ultrasound.
