The posted compensation range of $29.75 - $43.13/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law. The Echo Tech role involves performing all clinical aspects of diagnostic ultrasound testing, including various modes and techniques, and assisting with other Heart Station services. The technologist must prepare patients, document findings, report significant results to physicians, and potentially administer contrast agents. They also need to communicate effectively, maintain equipment, and perform clerical tasks related to echo studies. Responsibilities: Performs all diagnostic cardiovascular ultrasound testing Prepares patient for ultrasound procedures Recognizes and promptly reports significant findings to physicians Maintains echo equipment Maintains accurate log of echo procedures performed Qualifications: Minimum of two years college with emphasis in medical sciences and mathematics Meets minimum qualifications for eligibility for registration as an Echocardiographic Technician Verifiable completion of 18 contact hours of in-service/continuing education in clinical Echocardiography; Registered as a Echocardiographic Technologist Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) required Preferred Qualifications: Five years experience as Echocardiographic technologist Registered Echo technologist for minimum of two years Unless directed by a Collective Bargaining Agreement, applications for this position will be considered on a rolling basis.
