The Salvation Army is hiring for a Caseworker position at the Hamburg Service Center. The department is Service Extension, located at 700 S. 4th Street

Suite C, Hamburg, PA 19526. The position is available immediately and requires part-time plus commitment, working three days per week, totaling 25 hours per week. The Caseworker reports to the Regional Manager. The salary range is $13.50-14.50 per hour (target wage rate), grade 72/NE. Responsibilities

The Caseworker maintains a positive presence for The Salvation Army in the Northern Berks Community, provides casework for emergency assistance, manages the CAP program for UGI, and maintains the Sheetz, Camp, Angel Tree, TulpyPacks, and Back To School programs of The Salvation Army. The Caseworker works with volunteers and community agencies to further the mission of The Salvation Army. They respond courteously and promptly to all communications from outside and within The Salvation Army, cultivate relationships with donors and partners, maintain online correspondence and presence, keep program and client data and reports, maintain office supply inventory, arrange maintenance of office equipment, keep all areas clean and orderly, maintain accurate files for all programs, and prepare information for and communicate with superiors according to the chain of command. Qualifications

Requirements include high school education with five years of secretarial type experience and/or extensive work history in a diversified setting. Working knowledge of computer programs including Windows, Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and Facebook is required. Excellent telephone and all other communication skills are necessary. The Caseworker must be self-motivated and self-directed, able to work effectively with persons seeking assistance. As a mandated reporter, the Caseworker must provide proof of completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014 within 30 days of employment, with recurrent training required every five years. The Caseworker must meet the child protection clearances required by PA Act 153, including the PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and FBI Criminal Record Check.
