Four Seasons Hotel and Residences New Orleans is seeking candidates to join its dynamic People and Culture team as a People and Culture Generalist. In this role, you will play a key role in shaping our workplace culture and delivering an engaging, supportive, and rewarding employee experience. You will support the People & Culture (HR) function with a focus on employee engagement, onboarding, recognition, communication, and administrative excellence, while fostering an environment where every employee feels valued, informed, and inspired. What You Will Do Employee Engagement & Culture Plan, coordinate, and execute employee events and programs (Service Awards, Annual Party, Recognition Events, Holiday & Theme Celebrations, Wellness Initiatives, Children's Events, FS For Good Initiatives, etc.). Organize Employee of the Month & Leader of the Quarter recognition, including presentation slides and ceremonies. Manage and update internal recognition programs, suggestion boxes, and feedback channels. Partner with Banquets, Culinary, and other departments for monthly themed caf menus and Friday popcorn activations. Maintain and update caf and common area TV slides, bulletin boards, and themed communications. Build and foster community partnerships with local organizations (e.g., Women & Children's Shelter, Second Harvest Food Bank, Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, NOLA Tree Project, Harbor Police Department). Onboarding & Talent Support Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager with recruitment (posting jobs, screening and communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, processing background checks, E-Verify, onboarding preparation, and scheduling 45-day stay interviews). Create and manage administrative documents including onboarding orientation packets, departmental checklists and onboarding documents and reports. Prepare and share "New Hire Fun Facts" in the caf before Embark orientation. Facilitate Workday hire entries, reset passwords, and manage parking enrollments, ID badges, and name tags. Coordinate introductory and 90-day review reminders for managers. Communication & Administration Serve as a key point of contact for daily employee questions and requests. Draft and distribute employee communications, newsletters, flyers, monthly calendars, and activation announcements using tools like Canva and PowerPoint. Book meeting spaces for internal events and trainings. Assemble birthday cards for signatures and mailing. Process payroll updates and deductions bi-weekly, collaborating with Finance and payroll partners to resolve employee pay issues. Scan and upload compliance documents to Workday profiles. Order department supplies through Birchstreet. Contribute to the coordination of learning programs by preparing materials, managing attendance, and supporting internal communication. Facilitate training programs as required in the absence of L&D Manager. Compliance & Confidentiality Handle sensitive information with the highest level of integrity and discretion. Conduct hourly exit interviews and prepare termination reports and letters. Support investigations and inquiries from ADPAC and DPAC. Ensure compliance with employment regulations and Four Seasons policies. Maintain complete and accurate employee files in accordance with legal and company standards. What You Bring 13 years of HR/People & Culture field or hospitality-related experience is essential. Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect with others and build trust. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with Workday or similar HRIS preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with professionalism. Legal authorization to work in the United States.
