Junior Delta One Trader

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Delta One Trader to join our trading team in New York. This is a hands-on front-office role that combines trading responsibilities with platform and infrastructure development. The successful candidate will play a key role in building out a Delta One trading desk from the ground up, contributing to strategy design, execution, risk management, and operational processes. Key Responsibilities: Platform Development: Collaborate with developers and technologists to build a front-to-back Delta One trading platform, including pricing, booking, and PnL systems. Trading Execution: Assist in executing and managing trades across a variety of Delta One products (e.g., equity swaps, ETFs, custom baskets, futures) with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency. PnL Estimation & Reconciliation: Maintain real-time and end-of-day PnL estimates. Investigate and reconcile discrepancies with operations and finance teams. Risk Management: Monitor and manage intraday and end-of-day exposures. Work with the risk team to ensure all positions are within limits and appropriately hedged. Trade Booking: Ensure all trades are accurately captured in risk systems, booked properly, and supported with appropriate documentation. Market Analysis: Monitor market movements, identify trading opportunities, and analyze strategy performance across various asset classes. Operational Support: Collaborate with middle office, operations, and compliance to ensure smooth daily workflow and support for trade lifecycle events. Client Interaction: Support and potentially interact with internal clients or external counterparties to facilitate customized equity solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. 2+ years of experience Strong understanding of financial derivatives. Experience with PnL management, reconciliation, or operational aspects of trading preferred. Programming experience or scripting ability (Python, SQL, etc.) is a must. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment. Passion for markets and trading, with a willingness to learn and grow. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
