Integration Center Tech I

An Integration Center Tech I is an entry level technician working with in a large team to complete customer orders. This tech will work on various computer systems and technologies to perform configurations, integrations, system upgrades, and asset management. This position reports directly to the Lead Integration Tech and is primarily responsible for basic technical configurations (see job responsibilities for details), kitting, and custom labeling. Role Description Perform system imaging using tools such as Ghost, USB boot, and PXE boot, in accordance with technical procedures and project requirements Install and upgrade computer hardware components, including memory, hard drives, and NICs, following manufacturer guidelines and best practices Configure software and operating systems on a range of computer and mobile devices, ensuring compatibility and proper setup Conduct BIOS configurations and upgrades based on device specifications and update protocols Utilize Microsoft Dynamics AX for order tracking, asset check-in/check-out, and accurate asset information recording Tag assets and manage asset inventory throughout their lifecycle, maintaining detailed records and supporting asset management processes Unpack, pack, and kit hardware and components, preparing equipment for deployment or shipping according to project needs Communicate regularly with management to escalate issues, provide status updates, and ensure customer order requirements are met Interpret technical instructions, manuals, and troubleshooting guides to resolve issues and support project execution Independently acquire new technical skills and adapt to evolving technologies to maintain high levels of competency Behaviors and Competencies Teamwork: Can understand the importance of teamwork and is developing the ability to contribute effectively to team efforts. Skill Level Requirements Skilled in utilizing SharePoint for collaborative projects, document management, and enhancing team productivity - Basic Ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently - Basic Ability to diagnose, address, and resolve technical problems or malfunctions in systems or processes - Basic Proficiency in using Microsoft Dynamics AX for enterprise resource planning, including tasks such as order tracking, inventory management, and financial reporting - Basic Ability to efficiently use shipping software from major carriers to manage logistics, track shipments, and handle order fulfillment processes - Basic Expertise in configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting servers, storage solutions, and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability - Basic Ability to read and understand cable matrices, structured cable routing experience, and basic understanding of IP addressing concepts for managing network and data center configurations. - Basic Preferred Skills Familiarity with the operational mechanisms, hierarchical setup, and the overall framework of SHI, enabling effective navigation and utilization of internal processes - Basic Other Requirements Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field, completion of an accredited trade school computer training program, or equivalent relevant work experience required. 6 months disassembling and/or assembling computers and configuring Windows operating systems Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT Hardware preferred Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, and squat for extended periods of time The salary range for this position is $39,000 - $50,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
