CNC Machinist
We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our client's team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with CNC programming, blueprint reading, and quality control procedures to ensure high standards of production. Key Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines, including mills and lathes. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD/CAM files. Perform machine adjustments to ensure parts meet required specifications. Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine performance or part quality. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Follow safety protocols and company policies to prevent workplace hazards. Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and quality control personnel to optimize production processes. Document production activities, machine maintenance, and quality control checks. Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
High school diploma or GED required; technical school or CNC machining certification is a plus. Experience:
Minimum 1-3 years of CNC machining experience (entry-level candidates with technical training may be considered). Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating CNC machines, including mills and lathes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Familiarity with G-code programming and CNC control software (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, etc.). Experience using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.). Knowledge of machining processes, tool selection, and material properties.
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic and time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, dust, varying temperatures).
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree or certification in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field. Experience with CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.). Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma knowledge. Forklift certification or ability to obtain one. Benefits
