Job Description:
This position is hybrid with a required 3-day training process. The starting wage is $10.00/hour. Recruitment Ambassadors must love sharing their Baylor experience and what led them to choose Baylor as they were researching their college options! Recruitment Ambassadors will: Make outbound calls to recruit prospective students from the point of inquiry to matriculation. Work each shift toward making 18 or more completed calls or over 100 attempted calls with prospective students while writing thorough notes for the admissions counselors. Assist with Baylor events as needed, such as Baylor Premiere, Invitation 2 Excellence, etc. Assist prospective students and families through live chat as they browse the Baylor Admissions website. Follow up with any situations that may require additional information or help from either the student supervisors or the Recruitment Ambassador Assistant Director. Seek to consistently expand knowledge of University's academic and extracurricular programs to be able to counsel students within their area of interest and provide correct information regarding such areas. Write personalized cards to prospective students. Complete all other assignments given by the student supervisors or assistant director to support Baylor Undergraduate Admissions. Requirements: A minimum of 1 semester completed at Baylor A sense of personal responsibility, resilience, and accountability Willingness to work a minimum of 8 hours per week, with at least one shift being in person. The fall and spring hours are Sunday 2-6pm and Monday-Thursday 5-9pm. Summer hours are Monday-Friday from 4-8pm. Additional hours available to work in office M-F 9am-4pm after minimum 8 hours have been met. The preferred candidate is an undergraduate student. Eligible graduate students that have completed an undergraduate degree at Baylor may also be considered.
