Analytics Strategy & Innovation Lead
The Analytics Strategy & Innovation Lead is a senior leadership role within the Pipeline & Analytics Excellence, Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) organization, responsible for shaping the future of how analytics is delivered, applied, and embedded across the commercial enterprise. This role leads a global team focused on two core pillars: driving strategic initiatives and innovation within analytics. On the strategy side, the leader drives the orchestration and enablement of high-impact analytics initiatives aligned with GCA's priorities. This includes managing complex, cross-functional programs; building scalable frameworks and governance models; and fostering collaborations that elevate analytics maturity and ensure consistent value delivery across markets. The role is accountable for the "business of analytics," ensuring GCA operates as a cohesive, insight-driven function in its delivery. On the innovation front, the leader pushes the boundaries of analytics by championing emerging technologies, exploring novel use cases, and shaping the development of reusable assets and accelerators that modernize analytics delivery. This includes fostering a culture of experimentation, agility, and continuous improvement across the analytics community. This leader sets and executes a bold, multiyear vision that embeds analytics into the core of decision-making, operational execution, and customer engagement. As a leader of leaders, the Analytics Strategy & Innovation Lead influences commercial enterprise decisions, serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, and ensures analytics delivers long-term, measurable business value across diverse geographies and commercial functions. Shape and lead the global analytics strategy and innovation agenda, ensuring alignment with commercial enterprise objectives, therapeutic area priorities, and regional market needs. Focus analytics efforts to amplify and generate measurable commercial value, driving impact across revenue growth, market access, and customer engagement. Serve as a strategic advisor to senior Commercial and CMO leaders, guiding decisions that elevate the role of analytics in shaping commercial enterprise strategy and execution. Champion analytics as a foundational business capability, embedding it into the core of commercial analytics planning, prioritization, and performance management. Establish a bold, forward-looking vision for analytics innovation, fostering commercial enterprise-wide alignment and sustained momentum across geographies and functions. AI Implementation & Scaling
Architect the global implementation of advanced analytics and agentic AI solutions, embedding them into commercial analytics workflows and decision-making at scale. Drive process transformation by reimagining how work is done-automating insight generation, enabling real-time decision support, and elevating strategic focus. Establish governance and operating models to ensure responsible AI adoption, regulatory compliance, and sustained business impact. Change Management & Enablement
Lead change management efforts across the commercial enterprise to drive adoption and embrace of new analytics tools, capabilities, and ways of working. Build executive education and capability uplift programs to enhance data literacy and empower business leaders to act on insights. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability across the analytics community. Global Program & Portfolio Leadership
Oversee a portfolio of high-impact analytics initiatives spanning customer-facing teams, omnichannel marketing, segmentation and targeting, real-world data integration, and AI-including agentic AI. Ensure cross-functional alignment with Commercial, Access, Digital, Technology, and Global Commercial Analytics (GCA) teams to maximize the impact of analytics investments. Develop scalable frameworks, governance models, and reusable assets that modernize analytics delivery and accelerate time-to-insight. Innovation & Future-Readiness
Drive experimentation with emerging technologies, data sources, and methods to unlock new use cases and business value. Lead the development of accelerators, platforms, and tools that enable agile, insight-driven decision-making. Position the organization as a global leader in analytics strategy and innovation through thought leadership, external engagement, and internal capability building. Required Qualifications
Quantitative Master's or PhD degree from an accredited college or university is preferred in one of the following or related fields: Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Economics, Statistics, Math, Physics, Computer Science or Data Science or Business (MBA). 12+ years' with BA/BS or 10+ years with MBA/MS. Experience in business analytics function, country strategy and/or strategic consulting, and with life science industry experience. 8+ years in a people management role preferred (or equivalent) with proven accountability, and demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving capabilities. Deep experience in translating data into storytelling and determining the best way to leverage it to solve complex challenges. Executive presence and demonstrated ability to effectively influence senior leaders and colleagues at all levels of the organization. Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix environment, including the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, and oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and drive business impact. Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to innovate and execute with speed and high quality. Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies.
