Athletic Program Coordinator

Ensure that the goals of the CYO athletic program are carried out as part of the faith building efforts of a comprehensive ministry to youth, within the framework of the Diocese of Cleveland CYO Charter and Bylaws. Organize and coordinate a variety of duties in the assigned programs and operations of the CYO athletic program. Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland. Responsibilities: Education and Training that will include the following as assigned: Coaches Development Program; Coach's Meetings; Site Personnel training

Site Director's; Scorers; Timers; Clinic Operations CYO Program Operations that will include as assigned: site visits and Site personnel supervision; CYO Championship Tournament assignments; Conflict Management; Program Supply and Inventory management CYO Sport and Program leadership as assigned CYO Administrative Responsibilities that will include incident management as assigned, staff meetings and related tasks, scheduling of contests and officials, financial administration according to Catholic Charities policies and procedures, and contest facility administration. Attend and coordinate meetings with coaches, site supervisors, officials and athletic staff. Assist in the preparation of statistical reports, collating information, budget preparation, and other athletic reports, as assigned Assist with acquiring facilities and proper facility administration for CYO programming. Prepare internet-based team competition schedules and/or game official schedules, according to the practices of the CYO. Facilitate needed changes to the competition schedules and official schedules that arise during the course of the season. Visit and attend game sites regularly. At sites, be visible and available to volunteers; evaluate site directors, conditions of the facilities, scorers, timers and officials. Maintain positive image and relationships with site representatives, coaches, parents, spectators, officials, and participants. Assist with the organization and implementation of post season play. Assist in the evaluation of the CYO program. Database Management Assist with and learn schedule of seasonal office communications Planning and Task Completion for Coach Development Planning and Implementation of Hall of Fame Annual Membership Agreement Planning and Implementation of Leadership Conference Coordinate Site Applications Manage Program Software Systems Perform other duties as necessary to accomplish assigned objectives. Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Normal office environment; Travel throughout service area required; Frequent sitting, talking, active listening/hearing for interactions with staff, clients, coaches, parents, volunteers and performing computer based tasks at desk; Occasional standing and walking as required for long periods at events; Reading, writing and finger dexterity to manage correspondence, faxing, copying, answering phones, forms/documents, website, computer and files required on a frequent basis; Tasks require visual perception and discrimination for financial and material gifts and donations; Color distinction to produce visual website content on a frequent basis; Organizing and coordinating schedules; along with tracking donations Analyzing and interpreting data for required reports; Communicating with the public; Frequent use of computer and telephone/cell phone. Requirements: Combination of education and experience normally represented by a High School diploma or equivalent plus five years experience/exposure to the sports program. Four year College degree preferred. Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team in an effort to complete program assignments. Must have advanced computer skills and internet access to access email and web-based program management system. Must have the ability to work independently to meet established deadlines while observing the practices of the CYO. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and nights. Ability to show patience and courtesy when working with people. Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check. Salary Range: $48,000-$62,000, based on experience
