Procurement Analyst

The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for assisting with the strategic management of assigned categories within American Eagle's non-merchandise (indirect) spend. The Procurement Analyst must demonstrate the skills required to develop sourcing strategies within different spend categories, including facilitating cost reduction via negotiation or go-to market sourcing events, identifying areas of continuous improvement, scope optimization, and/or demand management, and mitigating the company's risk and liability. The Procurement Analyst will be required to develop productive, cross-functional relationships among several different departments at American Eagle, and execute value driven projects in a timely manner. Additional responsibilities include executing monthly reporting requirements, assisting in administrating sourcing initiatives, spend analytics, contract management support, supplier identification/vetting, and conducting market research. This role will be responsible for supporting multiple categories including supply chain, construction, facilities, fixtures, marketing and technology. Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for developing sourcing strategies in assigned spend categories Assist Category Managers with sourcing events (i.e. RFP, RFI, eAuction, etc.) and category strategies Develop and maintain productive, cross-functional business relationships with several departments at American Eagle that will lead to completion of value added projects Maintain productive relationships with key suppliers in assigned categories Educate business teams on Procurement policies and practices Negotiate Supply and/or Service Agreements with key suppliers in the assigned categories that will facilitate cost reduction, continuous improvement, and mitigate the company's liability with cross-functional support from legal, security and business teams Partner with the Procurement Operations team to execute procure-to-pay and contract management initiatives Assist the Procurement team with reporting requirements, including but not limited to spend visibility, cost savings analyses, and market research reports Additional responsibilities as assigned Qualifications: Resource should be located within commutable distance to the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area to allow for in-office collaboration when necessary (hybrid work schedule) Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Finance, or related field 2+ years of experience in Procurement Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to analyze data to understand trends and develop action plans Knowledge of Procurement processes (Contracting, Requisitioning, PO, Invoicing) is required Working knowledge of Procurement systems (ERP, Ariba, Lawson, SAP, etc.) is required Experience using Ariba suite or similar system of procurement tools (P2P, Contract Management, Spend Visibility, Sourcing) is preferred High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, etc.) & Internet applications Project planning and management experience Effective negotiation skills and relevant experience Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to balance competing priorities Ability to work with and influence peers, customers and senior management Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting Pay/Benefits Information: Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
