Key responsibilities: Expertly prepare, process, and submit permit applications for a variety of residential remodel projects across numerous Tampa Bay area cities and counties. Become a compliance champion, ensuring every application adheres to local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning ordinances. Thoroughly review and manage FEMA documentation to guarantee accuracy and completeness for seamless integration into the permitting workflow. Act as a proactive liaison, communicating effectively and professionally with various bay area municipal permitting offices to track progress and resolve any issues swiftly. Maintain meticulous records of all permit statuses, renewal timelines, and associated documentation, ensuring everything is organized and easily accessible. Serve as a knowledgeable point of contact, addressing permit-related inquiries from both clients and municipal authorities with clarity and efficiency. Stay ahead of the curve by continuously monitoring and adapting to evolving permitting procedures and regulations within the dynamic bay area landscape. Qualifications: Proven track record as a permit technician or similar role, with significant experience navigating the permitting processes within bay area municipalities. Solid understanding of FEMA documentation requirements and their application within the permitting process. In-depth knowledge of the complete permit application lifecycle for residential remodeling projects. Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and strong organizational skills to manage multiple permits effectively. Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous attention to detail and manage numerous tasks concurrently without compromising accuracy. Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to overcoming permitting challenges. Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a supportive team environment. Compensation / pay rate (up to): $18.00 - $25.00
