Production Operator

Join our team as a Production Operator responsible for manufacturing high-quality printing ink. We offer training to operate advanced machinery and engage in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities. Two official openings: 2nd shift (3p-11p)- 3 roll mill operator --machine start up, minor hands-on operating, and packaging 3rd shift (11p-7a)- coating mixer --Operating of material handling equipment like forklifts and clamp trucks, pouring of raw material into mixers. Open to training, but need some sort of experience utilizing these equipment Responsibilities: Run batches of ink at proper mill settings. Package finished products in various containers and apply labels. Clean and maintain machines to TPM standards. Learn and apply TPM knowledge to daily activities. Weigh-Up Batches: Manage auto and manual steps, follow process order of addition. Mix Batch: Discharge pigment and operate mixer safely, adhere to all INX Mixer SOPs. Operate Hockmeyer mill maintaining optimum Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) standards. Create and maintain a database of all existing formulas including processing times. Canning: Operate press out unit, pump filter equipment, and forklift. Act as a QC liaison, providing ink samples, making ink adjustments, and recording data. Complete scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Assist with repacks. Essential Skills: 6+ months of production experience. 3+ months of machine operating experience. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to learn. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Forklift experience preferred, but training is available. Employees have access to a locker room and other accommodations. Once converted, you will receive a differential of $1 for 2nd shift and $1.50 for 3rd shift. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edwardsville, Kansas. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
