Director It Infrastructure

The Director of IT Infrastructure is responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of the organization's IT infrastructure. This includes overseeing data centers, network architecture, server and storage systems, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security of all infrastructure systems to support business operations and growth. Key fundamental skill sets for this role will be: Develop and execute the IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals. Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives including cloud migration, automation, and scalability improvements. Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network, server, storage, and cloud environments. Ensure system uptime, performance, and capacity planning meet organizational needs. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of infrastructure engineers, network administrators, and support staff. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Security & Compliance: Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure infrastructure security and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, NIST, HIPAA). Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Vendor & Budget Management: Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs). Develop and manage the infrastructure budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with application, security, and business teams to support cross-functional initiatives. Communicate infrastructure plans and performance to executive leadership. Requirements: 15+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership role. Proven experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), virtualization, networking, and enterprise storage. Strong knowledge of ITIL, Network, Server & Storage, and cybersecurity frameworks.
