The Advanced EMT is responsible for providing emergency care and transportation of the sick and injured in accordance with established Baptist St. Anthony's Health System Policies, Department Guidelines, and Patient Care Protocols. Safely operates emergency vehicles in compliance with all laws, Baptist St. Anthony's Policies, and Department Guidelines. Accepts other tasks assigned by the Shift Commander, Emergency Medical Services Division Supervisor, or Paramedicine Services Director. Qualifications

Job Requirements High School (or GED equivalent) diploma.

Certification as an Advanced EMT by the Texas Department of State Health Services.

American Heart Association Healthcare Provider or equivalent completion.

Valid minimum Class C Texas Driver License with restriction "A" permissible.

Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHLTS) completion within 180 days of employment.

Completion of the following Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800.A is required within 60 days of employment.

Preferred Job Requirements Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS).

9-1-1 field experience.

National Registry.
