Public Health Nurse

Amergis is hiring two Public Health Nurses in Fairfax County, VA. Length: Through December 31, 2025 (~5 month assignments). Schedule: max 35 hours, schedule can be any day or times between Monday-Friday 8A-4:30P. Duties: They will focus primarily on childrens assessments for LTSS. Experience: Must have at least 1 year of experience as a public health nurse, ideally with experience with childrens assessments and knowledge of DMAS regulations and Virginia Department of Health VDH code regarding LTSS. Location: This is a community-based role throughout Fairfax County, they will be visiting peoples homes. The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) is responsible for the mental and physical well-being of the community by ensuring the publics health through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and education. The Public/Community Health Nurse (PHN) can work in a variety of institutions such as the community, hospitals, clinics, or long-term care facilities while collaborating with state regulators, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to keep the community safe and healthy. Minimum Requirements
