Job Title: Maintenance Technician

To perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of Cumberland County owned properties and equipment. This responsibility will include all entry/advanced level troubleshooting and repairs on HVAC systems and related equipment, plumbing infrastructure, building structural systems, and other repairs to the various complex's equipment and furniture. Pay commensurate with qualifications and experience. Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED or equivalent trade licensing. 3+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in the HVAC field, as well as any other documented training in the maintenance field. Valid driver's license. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, as well as plumbing, electrical, and other mechanical systems including heating and cooling control systems. Working knowledge of boiler systems including steam systems. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans. Key Expected Results:

Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment. Identifying maintenance risks on equipment. Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems. Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training. Keeping logs and records of all maintenance functions. Ensuring compliance with appliance standards as well as OSHA standards. Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements. Answers and responds to calls from complex residents on maintenance issues, including electrical problems, lighting repairs, mechanical problems, office equipment moves and repairs to occupants' needs. Answers and responds to Indoor Air Quality issues, including temperature control, airflow, bad smells, CO2 measurement, and control, etc. Responds, on a rotating call-in list, to after-hours fire alarms, boiler alarms, and security alarms. Assists in all aspects of snow removal at the courthouse complex, grounds, and parking areas. Must be available on weekends and holidays on an on-call basis and deemed "Essential Personnel". Demonstrates an understanding of the county's safety policies and practices by attending required safety programs; reporting all accidents and suspected safety hazards to the supervisor. There is an on-call (rotating basis), essential personnel (inclement weather) which may require weekends and after-hours work. Compensation includes a full benefits package.
