HDR is providing PM/CM services for the Los Angeles World Airports ATMP Landside Improvements Project. The project will deliver critical improvements to the roadways, streets, and thoroughfares in and around the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) campus. HDR will assist with the management of projects throughout the design, preconstruction, and construction phases, from inception to closeout. In the role of Estimator II, we'll count on you to: Develop, evaluate, compile, and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates Prepare and implement procedures for conducting estimates, and establish structures and presentation formats for estimates Take responsibility for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters Work on estimates that may reflect any part of total project, or changes to the project Coordinate with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimates Prepare comprehensive cost estimate reports, including laboring, market and job condition factors Participate in negotiations with contractors as needed Perform other duties as needed Keywords: Estimator, estimating, construction estimating, cost estimating. Primavera Preferred Qualifications Certifications (one or more): AEP, CPE, CCT, CEP, PSP, EVP, PMI-SP, PMP, CCM, PRMP, EIT, PE Ability to interpret construction schedules Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Construction Science Engineering or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years' experience in producing estimates in a competitive environment and assessing cost risks based on contract terms and conditions relative to a cost estimate Knowledge of EPC estimating methods, processes, and procedures, in addition to the estimate types, classifications, and components. Experience with Lump Sum Design Build estimates. Specifically understands detail level estimates and design packages Knowledge of market pricing and pricing sources in the area of specialization. Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structures necessary for cost management Must be proficient with Primavera and Timberline An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must HDR is our company.
