Staffing Operations Specialist
Continental is looking for a standout Staffing Operations Specialist. Staffing Operations Specialist at Continental is a valuable member of our team who is: A proven specialist in staffing operations, overseeing a 350+ member team and ensuring seamless allocation of resources to meet evolving business needs. With a strong background in hospitality and operations, you excel at developing team members, fostering collaboration, and delivering both immediate and long-term results. What You'll Do
Expertise in Staff Strategy & Coordination Support shift scheduling for 350+ team members, aligning skills and availability with operational requirements. Anticipate staffing needs by analyzing sales trends and event calendars, proactively addressing gaps before they impact operations. Partners with Event Group managers and cross-functional teams, including Dining and Refreshments, to deliver effective staffing solutions for daily operations and major events. Oversee the post-onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition from hiring to orientation and ongoing training. Maintain and track training plans to support ongoing staff development and ensure readiness for operational needs. Identify stretch talent and partner with leadership to develop a pipeline of future leaders, strengthening long-term staffing stability. Maintain detailed event staffing rosters with defined roles and responsibilities to ensure clarity and accountability. Build and maintain relationships with non-profit organizations and temporary staffing providers to expand workforce flexibility. Manage on-site operations for major events, including staff check-in/out and uniform distribution. Enhance staffing resources, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Monitor and ensure the accuracy of the Event Group attendance tracker. Operational Excellence in Payroll Management Manage payroll with precision and timeliness, ensuring full compliance and accuracy. Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies in collaboration with Finance and HR. Review overtime reports to ensure proper allocation and cost control. Ownership and Optimization of JIRA Workflows Manage JIRA tasks for call-offs, shift adjustments, payroll issues, and parking reimbursements. Ensure timely updates, transparent communication, and swift resolution of all staffing-related requests. Core Strengths & Professional Attributes Proactive Problem-Solver: Anticipates challenges, applies data-driven insights, and implements strategies that prevent operational disruptions. Balanced Decision-Maker: Makes staffing decisions with fairness and integrity, balancing business priorities with team well-being. Collaborative Partner: Works seamlessly with operational teams to align staffing strategies with broader organizational goals. Bachelor's degree preferred in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Restaurant Management, Hotel Management, Event Planning, or related fieldor equivalent proven experience. 5+ years in food and beverage or human resources, with a strong focus on hospitality and operational excellence.
