DISA CABLE TECHNICIAN I
ASRC Federal Cyber is seeking a Cable Technician to join our winning team and growth-oriented culture in support of the DISA J6 C4E, located in Arlington, VA (National Capital Region). ASRC Federal focuses on delivering successful mission outcomes and elevated performance for federal civilian, defense and intelligence agencies. Responsibilities: Must be familiar with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards. Knowledgeable in the use of network cabling test equipment. Analyze, administer, and maintain telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure. Ensure the baseline configuration of all network assets and point-to-point circuits are documented. Ensure all systems are properly baselined, tested, and validated in accordance with DISA's Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG). Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of network assets and configurations. Use cable testing equipment. Familiarity with cable management techniques to ensure organized cable runs. Possess a basic understanding of IP networking concepts. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces while adhering to safety guidelines. Dress, terminate, and test cables and components. Ability to work with power tools and ladders. Test, locate, install, and repair cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and perform routine maintenance. Install, maintain, and repair voice and data communications systems. Identify, track, and remove abandoned cable, and keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standards. Required Experience: 3+ years of related telecommunications experience 3+ years of experience working as a Cable Technician within the DOD environment Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience Certification Requirements: Related certifications for Fiber Optic Cable and CAT6 Cable Installation Clearance: Active Secret ASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity employers.
