Senior Manager, Public Policy - U.S. Federal, North America

In this newly created role, the Senior Manager, Public Policy - U.S. Federal, North America will support the Vantage Data Centers' engagement with the U.S. federal government, including Congress, the Administration, and independent agencies. Reporting to the Senior Director, Public Policy, North America, this individual will help shape and execute the company's federal public policy strategy, engaging with elected and government officials and other key stakeholders to advocate for policies that support business growth and infrastructure investment. Key issue areas include digital infrastructure development, artificial intelligence regulation, energy policy, supply chain resilience, permitting reform, and workforce development. The ideal candidate will bring strong policy instincts, a solid understanding of federal policy and political processes, and experience working with or within government, industry associations, or highly regulated economic sectors. Essential Job Functions

Support the development and execution of the Vantage Data Centers' U.S. federal public policy strategy Represent the company's interests before Congress, the White House, and federal agencies such as the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Commerce (DOC), Department of the Interior (DOI), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), and others Monitor, research, and analyze emerging legislation, regulations, and executive actions that could affect the company, especially in areas related to infrastructure, energy, supply chain, permitting, and workforce Build and maintain bipartisan relationships with congressional offices, executive branch officials, and industry partners Participate in and contribute to industry coalitions, trade associations, and external stakeholder forums to advance shared priorities Draft clear, concise policy documents, including comment letters, talking points, public statements, briefing memos, and executive summaries Coordinate closely with internal teams to align on policy positions and messaging, and make recommendations on public positioning on key policy issues Manage federal consultants and external partners as needed Duties

Prepare timely briefings and reports for internal stakeholders on federal policy developments and risks Support strategic planning on key federal issues and recommend actions to influence outcomes Contribute to internal messaging, thought leadership, and external-facing materials related to federal policy Coordinate participation in public hearings, listening sessions, conferences, and other federal engagement opportunities Serve as a liaison with government affairs representatives at peer companies and trade associations Help ensure the company maintains a strong and constructive presence in Washington, D.C. Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (e.g., J.D., MPP, MBA) a plus Minimum of five years of experience in a federal public policy, government affairs, or a related role, including experience working on Capitol Hill, an Administration, or an independent agency, or a private company or organization Familiarity with legislative, regulatory, and political processes in the U.S. federal government, including direct engagement with congressional committees and federal agencies Experience engaging with the Executive Office of the President, including ability to navigate interagency policymaking processes Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of preparing high-quality policy documents and briefing materials for senior audiences Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with congressional offices, federal agencies, executive branch officials, coalitions, and industry partners Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment Based in the Washington, D.C. metro area Some travel required to company locations and industry events 20% travel can increase for business needs Physical Demands and Special Requirements

Salary Range: $165,000 - $175,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Washington DC market data and may vary in other locations) This position is eligible for company benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D, short and long-term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program that includes company match, and many other additional voluntary benefits. Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
