Aircraft Mechanic
We are seeking experienced Aircraft Mechanics to work on the F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet fighter jets. This role involves performing aircraft modifications and requires Navy/Marine Corp AME NACES certification. Responsibilities: Maintain various aircraft egress systems such as seat and canopy ejection, gaseous and liquid oxygen, ejection seats, fire extinguishing, air conditioning, cabin and cockpit heat, pressurization, and ventilation. Remove and install oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators. Inspect, remove, install, and rig ejection seats, shoulder harnesses, and lap belts. Inspect, remove, install, and adjust firing mechanisms and cartridges for ejection seats. Perform daily, preflight, post-flight, and other periodic aircraft inspections. Essential Skills: Must have Navy/Marine Corp AME NACES certification. Minimum of 5-7 recent years of experience performing depot-level/heavy checks on aircraft. Experience with equipment overhauls and modifications. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience with military aircraft, specifically F/A-18E, F/A-18F, and Super Hornet. CDI or CDQAR certification is preferred. Why Work Here? Work Environment: The work environment includes both first and second shifts, with flexible overtime options. The first shift is from 5:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and the second shift is from 2 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday. The facility is open-bay and non-climate controlled. Employees will receive an annual expense allowance for steel-toed shoes. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, Texas. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
