Aircraft Systems Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities: Maintain and service ejection systems, aircraft seats, fire suppression, oxygen systems (gaseous O?), air conditioning, cockpit heat, pressurization, and ventilation systems. Remove, install, inspect, rig, and maintain components such as: Ejection seats Cartridge Actuation Devices (CADs) Shoulder harnesses and lap belts Oxygen system valves, gauges, converters, and regulators Perform daily, pre-flight, post-flight, and scheduled periodic aircraft inspections. Support flight operations including launch, recovery, turnaround, and plane captain duties. Troubleshoot complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair/replace components. Assemble, disassemble, and modify systems to correct issues or support system upgrades. Conduct system validation/verification testing and flight worthiness inspections. Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Prioritize safety, product integrity, and procedural compliance in all work. Provide oversight and training to junior personnel or team members as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED (additional technical training or military schooling in aviation systems preferred). Minimum of 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience, specifically with: Ejection seat systems Oxygen/environmental systems System removal, installation, inspection, and tooling procedures Hands-on experience with flight line maintenance and inspections. Ability to work onsite full-time and travel to Stennis Facility when needed. Strong adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Preferred Qualifications: Military aircraft maintenance background, particularly with egress systems. Experience as a Plane Captain or similar flight operation support role. Familiarity with applicable technical manuals, tools, and test equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills in pneumatic/hydraulic/electrical domains.
