Senior Apparel Product Developer - Menswear
Summit Golf Brands is a leading manufacturer of premium golf apparel, focused on providing high quality sportswear to the Wholesale and Direct-to-Consumer channels. Summit Golf Brands is the parent company behind three of the golf industry's leading apparel brands: Zero Restriction, B. Draddy, and Fairway & Greene and has a distribution network extending across 25 countries and encompassing over 3500 golf clubs and resorts worldwide. Reports to: VP of Design Responsibilities and duties of this position include: As part of the Design Team, responsible to follow through on all FG/ZR/BD men's product from the conceptual sketch phase through Salesmen samples to Bulk production. Manage the bill of materials section (Fabrics/Trims/Packaging) of all applicable tech packs. Create and manage visual WIP reports for all 3 brands, strictly adhering to the development and buy calendar. Work closely with Production & Inventory Management as the Design liaison on all delivery, fabric and trim issues. Manage daily communication with all overseas and domestic vendors to facilitate production and on time delivery of product. Continually update, organize and file the approval sequences of lab dips, salesman sample fabrics, bulk fabrics and trims - thus creating and maintaining a seasonal reference and library. Help resolve all salesman sample and bulk production related problems, following up continually with vendors as needed. Confirm all pertinent details of development are accurate to ensure goods are produced/shipped accurately in the correct quality and meet all requirements. Attend trade shows to identify new fabrics, trims, processes and always open to new ideas. Participate in Fit Sessions on live models and organize comments to ensure that design updates are implemented by the Technical Design team. Add value in creating the best product the market has to offer through creativity and innovation. Contribute to the overall growth and success of the brands. Requirements and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in product design, fashion merchandising or a related field. At least 4 years of industry knowledge and experience, preferably in Men's apparel. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience working with a small staff and wearing many hats. Exceptional time management skills must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Extreme attention to detail and pride in accuracy, have a positive & flexible attitude - no detail being too small. Standards: Excellent color sense with the ability to clearly communicate color standards/lab dip comments/approvals. Communicate clearly in oral and written form on a constant basis. Work independently, utilize good judgement and possess a strong sense of initiative. Organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and assignments by brand on a daily basis. Strong Software Skills in: Web PLM MS Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint Adobe Creative Suite - Illustrator, Photoshop & Acrobat software
