AECOM is seeking an Acoustician (Acoustician II) to join our U.S. Acoustics and Noise Control Practice, which falls under the Environment business line. This is a hybrid role and candidates may sit out of the following AECOM locations: New York, NY, Chicago, IL, Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Orange, CA, Oakland, CA, or San Diego, CA. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Primary support on noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, architecture, and development projects across the U.S. Perform predictive analyses with spreadsheet-based tools and commercially available software such as FHWA Traffic Noise Model, CadnaA, and EASE. Deploy and supervise a variety of sound level measurements in the field; conduct and document attended sound measurements; download and process collected data for report or presentation content inclusion. Sound measurement tasks will frequently require working in an outdoor environment. Regular travel across the United States should be anticipated. Research and review regulatory issues regarding local, state, and national codes. Prepare client deliverables (e.g., letter reports, technical documents, graphics, and acoustical specifications). While the position typically adheres to a traditional 40-hour per week work schedule, some night and weekend assignments will be required or expected. Appropriate professional behaviors, including pro-active communication, attention to safety, client-focused attitude, integrity, team participation, and active listening are valued, assessed, and expected at AECOM. Join AECOM to be part of an expert global team who is connected through a well-developed, worldwide, internal technical practice network through which you can learn from and brainstorm with the best in the world. AECOM is an industry-leading, world class environmental firm, and we want you to succeed within it. We respect and encourage your own pathway to excellence via our Freedom to Grow initiative. AECOM is known for our award-winning technical excellence, leading-edge science and innovative project delivery. We provide sustainable solutions for some of the world's most challenging issues.
