The Manager Meter Services reports to VP Customer Service or Manager Customer Service. Directs the overall operation & maintenance of the Company's metering including all aspects of Advanced Metering Infrastructure Operations. Responsibilities include the installation, removal, inspection, inventory and testing of revenue, system interconnection metering equipment and AMI infrastructure. Ensures the integrity of the Company's metering data. Manages meter engineering responsibilities to establish meter specifications, standards and technical support solutions and all technical metering requirements company wide. Develops and administers Corporate metering policies, practices and procedures that maximize efficiency, provide for revenue protection and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal and external auditors, SOX-404 and industry standards. Manages the Corporate Meter budgets, Meter Lab, Company Safety/PPE, Division Field Operations and AMI Operations. Responsible for Corporate systems including ADM Meter Asset Management, AMI Operations Meter Data Management System & Head End System, Electronic Meter Reading System and MV-90 Data Collection System. Works closely with Line, Gas, Settlement, Substations, Customer Service, Regulatory, Internal and External Auditors, Union Leaders and numerous other internal and external entities. Manages non-union employees and 2 Union groups. Ensures team management of all areas of responsibility. Key Responsibilities
Formulates a high degree of strategic and tactical plans relating to the Company's metering system, future metering system enhancements, revenue protection and ensuring these plans are consistent with Company and Global objectives. Makes highly complex decisions related to metering and AMI Infrastructure communications, which will have a direct impact on earnings and cost containment. (25 %) Provides direction on the construction, maintenance and operation of all Company meter plants. Manages multiple/remote work locations and multiple union and non-union work groups. (25 %) Manages the development, administration and coordination of the Company's meter testing and retirement programs to ensure that the requirements of the applicable states Public Utilities Commission and industry standards are met. (20 %) Ensures the development of technical training and progression testing for all meter personnel located throughout the Company. Provides overall leadership, team building and incorporates continual efficiencies and procedural improvements for all areas of responsibilities. Provides Union contract negotiations and grievance process pertaining to union groups. (10 %) Directs the overall operation of the Company's Safety/PPE Lab, Meter Lab, Technical Metering Groups, Electronic Meter Reading and AMI Operations. Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or 10 yrs equivalent experience in supervision, project management, and/or metering. Masters Degree or MBA desirable. At least 8 10 years of supervisory, project management, and/or metering related experience.
