Human Resource Business Partner (APU 3)

The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for supporting the day-to-day HR operations and being a strategic partner for supporting the business's talent initiatives. Act as the HR single-point-of-contact for employees and leaders for the business unit and other assigned employee groups. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Employee Relations: Support supervisors/managers with employee relations issues and questions. Conduct confidential investigations on employee concerns. Focus on maintaining positive employee relations. Manage the on-boarding and off-boarding processes. Employee Engagement: Drive the company values and culture through positive interactions with employees and leaders. Conduct annual employee engagement surveys and develop action plans to address improvement opportunities. Administer Nemera's various employee recognition programs. Annual Talent Processes: Coordinate the performance management process including goal setting, quarterly check-ins, and annual reviews. Facilitate annual talent review meetings and the related action plans. Administer the compensation plans and the annual salary review process. Change Management: Lead implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs. Develop clear employee communications on organizational policies and initiatives. Workforce Planning: Partner with leaders to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning. Training and Development: Work with leaders to determine training needs and recommend training programs to support employee and management development. Assist leaders in maintaining skills matrixes and employee development plans. Compliance: Help maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations. Recommend best practices and review policies to maintain compliance. Maintain the HCM system and employee files for accurate and complete employee and position records. Benefits: Serve as a back-up subject matter expert for Nemera US benefit plans and assist with the open enrollment process. Position will be supporting multisite locations in Chicago and Northwest Suburbs. Must be willing to work onsite and travel between locations based on business needs. Other duties as assigned POSITION REQUIREMENTS: 4 year degree in Human Resources or similar discipline preferred 5+ years of experience in the human resources field Experience with employee relations strongly preferred Working knowledge of HRIS, HCM, and payroll systems Position will be supporting multisite locations in Chicago and Northwest Suburbs. Must be willing to work onsite and travel between locations based on business needs. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Intermediate Excel and Word computer skills Be a self-starter with excellent problem solving, decision making, and follow-through skills Bilingual

Spanish/English (preferred) WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in an office with prolonged periods (up to 8 hours/day) of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and talking on the phone May enter the manufacturing environment which has a moderate noise level.
