Laboratory Technician
Coilcraft is a successful, privately-held company in Cary, IL with a worldwide reputation for high-quality passive electronic components. Coilcraft operates in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, computers, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics. We seek a skilled individual to join our engineering team as a Laboratory Technician. Key Responsibilities: Perform laboratory tests and experiments related to materials development, analysis, and characterization. Prepare, process, and analyze samples of polymers, metals, ceramics, or composites using standard techniques. Assist in developing and optimizing material formulations and processes. Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment to ensure reliable results. Record, organize, and interpret experimental data with attention to detail and accuracy. Collaborate with scientists and engineers to troubleshoot and solve technical challenges. Follow established safety protocols and contribute to maintaining a safe laboratory environment. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED is required. Basic understanding of laboratory techniques, including sample preparation, chemical handling, and analytical methods. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Familiarity with laboratory software is a plus but not required. Chemistry experience is a plus but not required.
