Production Manager
We are seeking a skilled Production Manager to lead and optimize our manufacturing operations, including production control, materials management, quality assurance, manufacturing engineering, procurement, and service support. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving efficiency, improving quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, direct, and coordinate production and service activities, including the inspection, programming, and troubleshooting of PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies), electronics chassis assembly, and related production equipment. Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity. Monitor and manage daily workflow, equipment utilization, and labor allocation to achieve optimal output. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and component design. Champion lean manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and support cost-effective operations. Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen events and 5S implementation. Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering change order (ECO) processes from a manufacturing perspective. Mentor and develop team members, supporting their career growth and promoting internal advancement opportunities. Foster effective communication and coordination between manufacturing and other departments such as engineering, quality, and purchasing. Oversee direct reports: assign daily tasks, provide coaching and feedback, conduct performance reviews, and manage schedules and timecards. Ensure work instructions and build documentation are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with standards. Lead root cause analysis (RCA) efforts and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for production issues. Utilize lean tools such as Kanban, value stream mapping, and pull systems to improve throughput and reduce inventory. Identify and recommend new technologies or equipment to enhance production efficiency and product quality. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, takt time, on-time delivery, rework rates, and labor efficiency. Promote a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous learning across the team. Other duties as assigned. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Toyota Production System (TPS) principles; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and drive process improvements in a manufacturing setting. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
