Job Opportunity At City Of Loveland
Manages and facilitates front desk, program registration operations, and essential administrative duties at the Chilson Recreation Center and concession stands. Provide consistent, high quality service to guests. Assists in the overall operation of the Chilson Center and emergency response. The salary range for this position is $57,800.00- $81,000.00 per year with a hiring range of $57,800.00 - $69,400.00, depending on qualifications and experience. Essential Functions: Manage and oversee recreation facility guest services team, program registration operations, and off-site seasonal concessions operations. Manage and oversees financial and clerical administrative support systems. Serves as the Department's system administrator of the recreation software program by maintaining system and household files, trouble shooting, requesting fixes/enhancements, training staff and developing and processing reports. Stays abreast of trends. Evaluate, identify and implement operational improvements including workflow, processes and systems. Higher, train and supervise, guest services and concessions staff. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees: planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides implemental support of promotional communications and publicity materials. Resolves administrative concerns with integrity by applying appropriate policies and procedures with courtesy and kindness and through positive interaction and involvement with Facility Manager, facility management team, and public. Other Job Functions: May serve as department liaison on City and community committees. Assists with special events and recreation division projects. May be required to cross-train in other areas for duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Education/and or Experience: Bachelor's degree in recreation or related field required. Two years of experience in staff management and customer service operations required. Experience with RecTrac Software strongly desired. Strong organizational skills required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis. Licenses and Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR Certification required or must be obtained within 90 days of hire date. CPRP/CPRE Preferred Management Level: This position is a first-line supervisor responsible for non-exempt and/or non-supervisory exempt employee(s). Highest level supervised: non-exempt employee(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must be able to interact successfully with co-workers and the public. Must coordinate administrative support and systems, and have a working knowledge of recreation facility customer service operations. Must lead and guide staff in a proactive efficient manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills along with an understanding of financial principles. Must be computer literate. Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Required to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends. Requires bending, pushing/pulling, stooping, lifting (up to 30lbs), kneeling and climbing to perform tasks normally associated with this position. Administrative office work may require sitting for extended periods of time. Must possess ability to communicate clearly in high intensity guest interaction with all ages and varieties of the population and in supervising staff. Material and equipment directly used: Computer systems, office/clerical administration equipment, cash handling systems, reception desk equipment, telephone call processing, two-way radio/paging system.
