Computational Science and Informatics R&D excels in delivering rigorous and clinically actionable data analytics and insights across our Diagnostics product portfolio. These strategic capabilities are key to realizing the Roche Diagnostics 10-year vision and the One Roche ambitions. Our purpose is to shape the future of human health, where precise, data-driven diagnostics and precision medicine enable everyone to access personalized healthcare solutions. The Opportunity: Serves as the departmental information resource for general operational or administrative inquiries, requiring administrative knowledge of departmental and organizational policies and procedures. Coordinates, schedules and prepares for meetings, events, domestic and international travel and conference calls, channeling communication and/or materials. Actively participates in internal company meetings with other administrative professionals, finds ways to apply new methods of working, improvements in work processes and supports an exchange of ideas among colleagues. Participates in administrative project initiatives within or outside the department/functional area. Provides back-up support to other teams as necessary, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability and positive demeanor in the face of change. Supports the department with new systems, processes and training compliance. We are looking for someone who can work onsite at our Santa Clara office at least 4 days per week. Who You Are: You have 6+ years of administrative assistant experience. You have 2+ years of experience supporting senior/executive level leaders (i.e. C-Suite/ officer level role). You are proficient with Google Workspace including (Google docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Gmail, gCal, gDrive, gMeet, and Calendar etc.) or equivalent. You have previous experience mentoring/guiding and/or leading a team of Administrative Assistants. You have strong organizational skills and the ability to be extremely flexible while managing conflicting, shifting and competing priorities with minimal direction. You are a proactive self-starter with excellent judgment who can work independently and anticipate the executive's needs as well as make critical decisions. You are a quick learner, be solution oriented, proactive to the dynamic needs of the organization. Preferred: You have a Bachelor's Degree. You have experience with Business, Financial, Budgeting, Travel & Expense, Human Capital and/or Purchase Order Management Tools. The expected salary range for this position base on the primary location of South San Francisco is $80,900- $150,200. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. Relocation benefits are not available for this posting.
