Position: We're looking for a purification expert who thrives at the bench and wants to make a direct impact on the development of next-generation biologics. As part of the biotherapeutics team you'll lead the production of therapeutic proteins and antibodies, with an emphasis on complex biologics such as bispecific antibodies. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing purification processes supporting our pipeline from early to late stages. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute purification workflows for antibodies, bispecifics, and other therapeutic proteins using diverse chromatographic techniques, including affinity, IEX, HIC and SEC
Optimize and scale processes from microscale to multi-gram quantities to support discovery, lead optimization, and preclinical studies.
Characterize purified molecules for quality attributes (purity, aggregation, charge heterogeneity, PTMs) both in house and through contracted research
Troubleshoot purification challenges and implement process improvements to enhance yield, purity, and throughput.
Maintain detailed documentation, including experimental design, results, and conclusions, in electronic lab notebooks and technical reports.
Present findings and recommendations to cross-functional project teams and senior management.
Qualifications: PhD in a relevant field or Bachelor's Degree with about 10 years of experience Master's Degree or equivalent education with about 8 years of experience. Level will be commensurate with experience.
Hands-on experience with antibody binding characterization.
Proficiency in molecular biology/cloning and mammalian cell expression systems
with previous experience working with antibody-based therapeutics
Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis software.
Excellent communication skills and teamwork spirit.
Experience with in vitro display technologies (e.g., phage display, yeast display) or in vivo antibody discovery (e.g., hybridoma) desired
Familiarity with sequence analysis tools, including handling of NGS data desired
Knowledge of antibody engineering and optimization strategies is a plus
Advanced knowledge of flow cytometry techniques (including sorting) and/or biosensor technology is a plus
Expected Salary Range:
