Technical Sales Manager

Our client is a family owned, global industry leader in the precision metal products space. They utilize numerous unique alloys to meet their customer and client needs ranging from foil, wire, strip, and ribbon materials used in critical applications for numerous industries. Job Description

Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management Define, develop, and manage the full lifecycle of precision metal products (e.g., strip, wire, foil, PV ribbon). Align product strategy with customer needs and industry trends (e.g., aerospace, medical, solar, etc.). Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams to deliver customized product solutions. Coordinate new product introductions (NPIs) and support technical troubleshooting or redesigns. Customer & Market Focus Serve as the technical and commercial point of contact for key customers. Gather market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and competitive positioning. Technical Product Expertise Understand material properties, alloy behavior, and processing techniques to recommend the right solutions for performance-critical applications. Translate complex customer specifications into manufacturable requirements. Sales Support & Business Development Provide product training, documentation, and support to the sales team. Assist with quoting, pricing strategies, and customer presentations. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Identify areas for cost reduction, quality improvement, or product/process innovation. Lead or support initiatives involving advanced metallurgy, coatings, or specialty forming.
