the brand's artistic signature. David Yurman collections are available through the brand's retail stores (50) and eComm sites throughout the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and France, and over an additional 300 locations worldwide via their exclusive network of authorized fine jewelry and timepiece retailers. As the Director of Strategic Media, you will be responsible for leading and implementing the strategic media initiatives of the organization and the retail / wholesale marketing. You will oversee the planning, development, execution and real-time performance tracking of media campaigns that align with the company's objectives and drive business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the media landscape, media platforms (including ad formats, targeting, bidding strategies etc.), strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Define and guide Media Agency to develop sophisticated, objective based media strategies. Develop media strategies into comprehensive strategic media plans to support the organization's marketing and business objectives. Execute these plans w/ excellence. Consistently define and optimize the target audience segments, media channels, ad formats, bidding strategies, and creative / messaging approach that best address brand and business goals. Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, communications, and creative, to ensure cohesive media campaigns Media Buying & Negotiation: Manage media budgets and make informed decisions on media investments to maximize ROI. Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify optimal media buying opportunities. Negotiate favorable media rates and contracts with media partners, ensuring cost-effectiveness and value. Campaign Performance Analysis: Develop a process to track and analyze the performance of media campaigns, using key metrics and data analytics tools. Provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimizing media strategies and tactics on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis. Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate campaign performance to key stakeholders across Campaign, BAU, High Traffic Moments. Market and Competitive Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive media strategies. Show deep curiosity for the media landscape to stay ahead of shifts across media platforms etc., and keep Marketing and Creative updated. Guide Media team to adjust plans etc. based on relevant insights. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to enhance media planning and execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, including marketing, creative, analytics, e-comm, and the DY Commercial Org (Retail, Wholesale), to align media strategies with broader organizational goals. Connect DY brand media planning w/ Wholesale co-op media planning to maximize effectiveness and impact. Foster strong relationships and serve as single-point-of-contact with media agencies, vendors, and other external partners. Effectively communicate media plans, objectives, and results to stakeholders at all levels Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of media professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and support. Servant leader mindset to mentor, sponsor and apprentice future talent in personal organization and across enterprise Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages professional growth and development. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance the team's skills and expertise. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Minimum of 8+ years of experience in strategic media planning, buying, and execution. In-depth knowledge of media channels, including traditional, digital, social, and emerging platforms. Critical to have in depth experience w/ digital performance media channels (search, social). Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights. Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. Proven experience in developing and executing successful media campaigns. Proficiency in media planning and analytics tools. Outstanding communication and presentation skills. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving business growth.
