The Role + Purpose: We are looking for a highly motivated Social Media Director who excels in translating brand vision into compelling social content strategy. The ideal candidate is passionate about social media trends and dedicated to building authentic brand communities in an ever-evolving digital landscape. This role will be charged with connecting and translating our brand strategy and business objectives to our social audience. They will be primarily responsible for planning and delivering a social media strategy that drives brand awareness, community growth and commercial sales across all consumer-facing social channels.

Role is expected to be onsite 3 days a week and 4 days as needed. Key areas of focus include establishing social content strategy and roadmaps, campaign execution and community engagement through our @JCrew social touchpoints. Develop comprehensive social media strategies that support business goals, with a focus on audience growth, brand affinity and engagement Own the creation and execution of all channel strategy and roadmaps for @JCrew social channels, from monthly social calendars to campaign-specific rollout strategies Establish and maintain brand voice consistency across all @JCrew social channels, ensuring alignment with overall brand vision Lead seasonal social content strategy planning for marketing initiatives, including 365 content strategies for TikTok, Instagram, and Pinterest Create and execute community engagement strategies to grow online communities with actionable plans for audience development Act as central point of contact for social channel publishing, facilitating monthly brainstorm meetings with Brand & Art Direction teams Identify trends, cultural moments and reactive content opportunities, translating insights into actionable creative briefs Deliver comprehensive weekly and monthly social media reporting with strategic recommendations and actionable insights Manage Social Associate and Social Copywriter, acting as brand guardian for all social content ideas and execution Track social media landscape, platform updates, and cultural trends to ensure relevancy and position the brand as a leader in social commerce Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field 5-7 years' Social Media Marketing experience with proven track record in brand social strategy Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices across Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest Exceptional written communication skills with ability to maintain consistent brand voice across multiple channels Proven success in team management and cross-functional collaboration Creative problem solver with ability to turn cultural moments into brand-relevant content opportunities Proven ability to handle time-sensitive projects and prioritize multiple campaigns simultaneously Experience with social media analytics, reporting, and translating data into strategic insights Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple social calendars and campaign timelines Passion for staying ahead of social media trends and emerging platforms Experience working with social influencers and creators
