Spread Products Financing & Securitization (SP F&S) business provides capital to our clients through liquidity and innovative solutions across the credit and securitized markets. SP F&S activities include origination, structuring, investing, and lending across products including corporate, asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities, collateralized loan obligations, and derivative instruments. SP F&S also provides underwriting, securitization, project financing, warehouse lending, commercial, residential, and affordable housing financing. The SP F&S Business Manager is a senior level position within the Citi Markets COO organization, responsible for working closely with the Spread Products business heads in accomplishing and delivering on targeted execution strategies. The Senior Vice President candidate will drive the overall management activities of the business working in partnership with other stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, and other verticals. The primary responsibilities will include addressing ongoing business concerns and ensuring that the business is operating at an optimal level. Responsibilities
Work closely with business heads and relevant stakeholders on ongoing business operations and deploying new business strategies. Drive administrative, operational, reporting, and quality improvements for the business working closely with other stakeholders. Lead on internal and external audit reviews and inquiries and oversee delivery on corrective action plans. Manage financial control by applying a comprehensive understanding of the department Profit & Loss (P&L), including appropriate accruals, client allocations, the impact of capitalization, recovery, and fixed price contracts in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity. Partner with other SP F&S Business Managers and other stakeholders to deliver on business strategies and be a mentor to junior members of the Markets COO organization. Oversee all business execution framework across product technology, regulatory, and administrative duties in connection with the business strategies including financial, staffing, quality, risk, and regulatory matters. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Citi policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications
10+ years of experience in financial services. Experience working in global and complex settings with multiple stakeholders. Knowledge of loan origination and capital markets. Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology, including Profit & Loss (P&L), accruals, client allocations, capitalization, recovery, and fixed price contracts. Proven ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures. Proven ability to work in high-pressure, time-sensitive environments. Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication. Education
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred.
