Bush Combat Development Complex (BCDC), part of the Texas A&M University System (TAMUS), invites applications for a full-time Project Manager III. The Bush Combat Development Complex (BCDC) - located on the 2,300-acre RELLIS Campus in Bryan, TX - is an ecosystem for agile technology development and service-member-inspired research. The BCDC is the result of a partnership between the Department of Defense, Texas A&M University System, and the State of Texas. The $200 million complex is designed to bring together researchers from U.S. universities, the military, and the private sector for collaboration, demonstrations, and high-tech testing of initiatives to help accelerate military innovation for our nation's defense. Salary: $5,084.33 - $8,333.33 per month commensurate with experience. Job Description Summary: The Project Manager III manages the ALIAS-Texas Project activities including developing, implementing, tracking budgets, tracking timelines and deliverables, and providing periodic evaluations and reports for projects that are generally medium to large in scope. Assist the Director with the oversight of project operations, scheduling, facilities, safety and administrative support. Responsibilities: Plans, develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates departmental initiatives and projects. Performs advanced project development, disseminates project information, and serves as an active participant in project-related work groups and committees. Provides recommendations to achieve goals. Coordinates project activities, collaborates with team members, develops measurable project goals and objectives, and monitors progress toward achievement. Defines project mission and vision, establishes strategic alignment, and identifies stakeholders. Manages project portfolios in line with business strategies and in accordance with project management standards. Periodically conducts meetings with stakeholders to schedule and coordinate project activities. Coordinates project resources in conjunction with resource holders and other project managers. Manages projects that the problem and solution are somewhat difficult to achieve. Manages project quality control and assurance. May have minor links to other projects. Establishes goals for project delivery. Applies current best practices in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and project lifecycle. Develops and disseminates work plans and project documents to include procedures, proposals, progress reports, and presentations. Develops and prepares training and operational manuals. Creates and coordinates specialized project communications and materials. Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Assist the Director with the oversight of project operations, scheduling, facilities, safety and administrative support. Performs other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience - Seven years of related experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with aviation operations.
