Community Liaison Position

Mesilla Valley Hospital has been in operation since 1987, serving those in need of treatment for a variety of psychiatric and substance abuse issues. Mesilla Valley Hospital is a 120-bed facility, providing access to quality behavioral healthcare and substance abuse treatment to residents of New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona. MVH is the leader in providing quality mental health and addiction treatment services. Position Summary

The Community Liaison is responsible for ensuring Mesilla Valley Hospital maintains positive relationships with referring sources and develops new business to achieve the goals and objectives of the hospital's business development strategic plan. The Community Liaison works to maximize referral potential from assigned accounts and serves as the connection between the facility and the community. Location of this position is Las Cruces, NM and will be traveling up to 25% of the time. Qualifications

Experience/Education: A Bachelor's Degree is preferred in behavioral health, marketing, public relations, business administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of two years' experience in healthcare marketing or sales, during which measurable business development results were achieved. Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse treatment is preferred. Skills: Understanding of business development strategies, healthcare marketing, and/or customer-oriented sales techniques. Knowledge of computers and database management, along with experience with Microsoft programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Effective written and verbal communication skills, including ability to speak before small and large groups, to make scheduled and cold call visits with accounts, and to work independently in assigned territories.
