Warehouse Janitor
The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment within a warehouse facility in Obetz, Ohio. This role is essential for ensuring operational efficiency and a healthy workspace for all employees. The ideal candidate will be a reliable, hardworking individual with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities: Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and waxing floors in the warehouse and office areas. Operate and maintain industrial cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and sweepers. Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas, restocking supplies as needed. Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and cardboard waste, including operating a cardboard baler and compactor. Wipe down and dust surfaces, machinery, and equipment. Address spills and other safety hazards promptly to prevent accidents. Manage janitorial supply inventory and report needs to a supervisor. Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a warehouse or industrial setting is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including safe handling procedures. Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods, and to lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) is a plus. Work Environment & Physical Demands: This position involves working in a warehouse environment with various temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to cleaning chemicals. The role requires constant physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting. Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $16.50
